You’ll be notified of your suitability and, if successful, awarded your accreditation.

Steps to becoming an Accredited Chaplain

1. Complete Essential Training

Note that this is a pre-requisite for accreditation, and should generally be completed prior to submitting an application, unless you have been approved for exceptional circumstances.

2. Complete Application Form

Note that all required details must be completed in one sitting. You will need your WWCC (or equivalent) registration details, and contact information for a church referee.

3. Meet with SCA representative for interview

Note that this is our Duty of Care interview, and is a part of our compliance procedures.

4. Application will be reviewed and determined

This may take up to 8 weeks as we seek references and meet with your local SCA representative regarding placement. If you already have a club in mind, please let us know.

5. Start making a difference in your club

6. Keep your accreditation up to date

Make sure you pay your annual renewal when you receive your invoice at the anniversary of your accreditation date.
